Shoe Styles:

Preferred choices are tap shoes with rigid soles (as opposed to split soles).  Rigid soled shoes provide better support for balance and movement, as well a quality Tap sound.

Find a balance between comfort and proper fit.

I prefer the brands Bloch, Capezio or Leo's

You'll want a Jazz Tap shoe (lighter then a Rhythm Tap shoe)

Women:  Full Heel Oxford or Low Heel Maryjane.

Men:  Oxford

Local Supplier:  Capezio
